AT THE STILL POINT OF THE TURNING WORLD
SAISON MADE WITH BUCKWHEAT AND RYE
5.6% ABV
Funky, floral, and fruity—flavors of dried pineapple, tangerine, white tea, and peppercorn intermingled with a biscuity malt profile.
At the Still Point of the Turning World is a 5.6% ABV mixed culture saison brewed with Sugar Creek Malt Company locally-malted buckwheat, rye, barley, and oats, and hopped with EKG, Citra, Centennial, Hersbrucker, and Simcoe. The aroma features notes of dried pineapple, nectarine, and unripe strawberry with hints of white tea and peppercorn. Old World hops offer a delicate floral character reminiscent of geraniums or calla lilies. On the palate, flavors of tangerine, lemon curd, and kiwi overlay a rustic malt profile of drop biscuits and cream crackers. Buckwheat lends a light funk that integrates nicely with the fruit-forward fermentation profile. Medium in body with moderate, creamy carbonation; bright acidity on the palate balances the bitterness in a dry finish.
