Everything Glistened and Sparkled is a 6.0% ABV mixed culture saison made with angelica root, roasted rhubarb, and wildflower honey. This saison has prominent aromas of blood orange, cranberry, and green strawberry intermingled with notes of vanilla marshmallow, rose hips, pink peppercorn, and a whisper of tarragon. On the palate, the rhubarb comes through with flavors reminiscent of plum skin, watermelon rind, and tangerine pith over a backbone of sweet toasted brioche and hay. Overall the beer presents with a fruit-forward and gently floral complexity overlaying a pronounced, slate-like minerality. Medium-bodied and dry, balance is achieved in this beer as the tonic bitterness of the angelica root meets the sweetness of wildflower honey and a soft lactic acidity. Everything Glistened and Sparkled offers a parallel flavor experience to the transition of the seasons as we bid farewell to the warmth of summer and fully embrace the cool crispness of fall.
